Bakuriani is a small mountain town in the Lesser Caucasus, 45 minutes uphill from Borjomi and best known as Georgia's second-largest ski resort. The Kokhta-Mitarbi, Didveli, and 25 March slopes are linked by modern gondolas and chairlifts, with runs for beginners up to advanced skiers and Olympic-standard cross-country trails just outside town.
Outside winter, Bakuriani is an alpine village in the right kind of way — pine-forest walks, mountain biking, ATV trails, horseback riding through wildflower meadows, and a small botanical garden. The altitude (1,700 m) keeps summer temperatures comfortable when Tbilisi sits at 35 °C. Most travelers stay 1–2 nights as part of a Borjomi–Bakuriani loop.

Olympic-standard biathlon track and cross-country trails, used by the Georgian national team.
